Oils on wood panel - 24 x 20 inches

I am always harping on about searching for that magic moment, and while driving up the Eden Valley on a particulary grey day, I came upon this little scene. An inner valley, usually hidden, was lit up in lime and vibrant yellows by jacobs ladders bursting through the gloom

I had to paint this straight away so as soon as I was back in the studio I made a start and here is the result.
