Painting on my favourite surface and size this view of Ullswater is a bit looser than my previous paintings in that I was trying to use tone to tell the story without getting into much detail

It was a smashing day and my references were taken on the same day as a previous painting "Strong light on Gowbarrow" , the strong light was been picked up by various crags and points in the landscape giving what I though was a pleasing result
